Bower Ag Expands Midwest Footprint with Farm Systems Acquisition
Strengthening Dairy Equipment and Manure Management Support Across the Upper Midwest
Bower Ag is proud to announce the acquisition of Farm Systems, a dairy equipment and manure management company based in Melrose, Minnesota. This move expands Bower Ag’s ability to serve dairy producers across Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota, enhancing access to equipment expertise, on-farm service, and integrated facility solutions.
For decades, Farm Systems has partnered with regional producers to deliver and maintain a wide range of dairy systems — from conventional and robotic milking equipment to manure handling solutions and related technologies from leading brands like DeLaval.
As part of Bower Ag, the Farm Systems team will continue operating from its current locations, maintaining the same trusted relationships and local service producers know well.
Continuing a Commitment to Local Service
“This acquisition is about building on what already works,” said Ryan Calistro, President of Bower Ag. “Farm Systems has earned deep trust with producers in this region. Our role is to support that team with additional resources and coordination, while keeping service local and relationships intact.”
The addition of Farm Systems supports Bower Ag’s broader vision — aligning regionally proven equipment providers with full-scale construction and facility planning capabilities. Together, these resources simplify complex projects and deliver a coordinated, start-to-finish experience for producers.
A Shared Vision for Dairy Producers
“Bower Ag’s vision aligns closely with how we operate at Farm Systems,” said Joel Ledermann, General Manager at Farm Systems, who will serve as a regional Director of Dealerships at Bower Ag. “We’re excited to give our customers access to an expanded network of resources and talent, while continuing to deliver the dedicated service they’ve come to expect.”
In the coming months, the two teams will collaborate to ensure a seamless transition — with no disruption to service, support, or ongoing projects.
“Producers can expect the same people, the same service, and the same commitment they’ve always relied on,” Calistro added. “What changes is the level of support behind the scenes.”
